Abstract
-
We use the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model to study the structure of mesons and the interaction of nucleons. A microscopic model of confinement is introduced to calculate various properties of hadrons. The confining interaction eliminates unphysical quark-antiquark cuts.;The model is used to calculated the nucleon-nucleon interaction for sigma, pion and vector-meson channels. It also calculates rho-omega mixing. An improvement is made for gauge invariance in the NJL model. Reasonable quantative results have been obtained.
