Stryga is a ballet, scored for symphony orchestra. The instrumentation includes flute piccolo, 2 flutes, 2 oboes, English horn, 2 clarinets, bass clarinet, 2 bassoons, contrabassoon, 6 horns, 3 trumpets, 2 trombones, tuba, percussion (3 players), piano, 24 violins, 10 violas, 10 cellos, 6 contrabasses. The story is based on an ancient Slavic legend and a mythical character Stryga. The work can be performed as an orchestral suite.
