Abstract
-
A stronger refutation of EPR type local realism than that of Bell's theorem is presented based on the Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger (GHZ) gedanken experiment. The essence of Bell's theorem and that of the GHZ theorem are given along with their difference. The GHZ theorem is extended to three particle spin-1/2 correlations and to photon polarization correlations. Furthermore, the theorem is extended back to two particle system.;A few practically realizable experiments are proposed using nonlinear optical parametric down conversion of light. A theory of multi-photon spontaneous parametric down conversion and its use in a new field of many particle interferometry are introduced and developed for the purpose.
