Abstract
-
This study shows that the screening in a superlattice should possess periodic characteristics and should consider the many body's exchange and correlation effect. A numerical method is proposed to solve the screening effect in a superlattice. The equations in this method have been developed using a periodic basis. It has been proved that the result of this method will include the exchange and correlation effect. This method can be applied to all superlattices which are independent of superlattice layer's width and their doping. Tight binding approximation wave function is used in this method. Also, it has been proved that simple wave functions are not adequate for superlattice studies.
