Abstract
-
The nonlinear partial differential equations describing the evolution of intense pulses or beams in various nonlinear media are solved by using a combination of spectral decomposition (F.F.T or multi-dimensional F.F.T) and adaptive Runge-Kutta techniques. In short, new results are obtained for: (1) Supercontinuum Generation; (2) Nonlinear Self-Focusing; (3) Pulse Propagation in Resonant Media; (4) Beam Propagation in Resonant Media; (5) Incoherent Signal Propagation.
