Abstract: Utilizing A. Toom's evaluation-interpolation method, V. Pan, A. Sadikou, and E. Landowne developed an approximation algorithm for the quotient of two polynomials, equivalent to the algorithm of D. Bini and A. Schonhage, requiring simpler mathematical methods. This result forms the core of the dissertation. Before deriving this approximation algorithm, we discuss the mathematical prerequisites, and after the derivation we consider its relationship to the two previous methods.
