The study falls under the rubic of the substantive area of sociology known as historical sociology and constitutes a sociological analysis of some selected aspects of the militant activities of the Industrial Workers of the World (I.W.W.), which was a militant labor organization that was founded on June 27, 1905, in the city of Chicago and dedicated to the doctrines of syndicalism, militant industrial unionism, and many others.
